I made this for my friend's wedding. I've never done anything like this before and thought it would be a fun challenge. A challenge it was! It took two solid days to bake, ice and decorate it! it's a rolled buttercream icing with real stargazer lillies, wax flowers and banana leaves around the base. Thanks to everyone that helped me with their suggestions and answers to my questions, you were all a HUGE help!!
This is the first gum paste lily I've made, I'm new to the world of fancy cake making. The first lily I made didn't turn out very well, I used "paint" instead of petal dust, the petal dust works soooo much better. What do you think?
