Minnie Mouse Cake

Thanks to Nunuk for the inspiration for this cake. I made the mistake of using the Wilton Tasty-fill pan for the bottom tier and the top is eggless. It is leaning to one side as a result even though I put dowels in it. Oh well, lesson learned! Both are Devil's Food with raspberry cream filling. Buttercream icing with MMF and gumpaste accents. It was for my SIL 30th birthday. I've nicknamed it "Mitzi's leaning tower of Minnie". LOL

Wii Birthday Cake

Thanks to jlwms for the inspiration of this cake. Buttercream with MMF accents. Controller and Wii are Rice Krispie Treats covered in MMF. Bottom tier is Mountain Dew cake and top tier is butter cake with Peanut butter cream and strawberry jelly filling. This cake was for my DH's birthday.

I took the idea from the Wilton Yearbook that was passed around in class one night. Used watermelon flavoring added to a white cake, mini choco chips, buttercream icing with fondant stripes. It sounds weird, but everyone loved it!
