I made this for a friend's son's wedding. It was a chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache filling, buttercream icing and fondant for the jersey and hat brim. This was my first time attempting the hat and jersey, but everybody loved it. TFL!!
I made this for my mom's 80th birthday. She didn't want a cake that that would be cut, so I made this display cake using cake forms and fondant. Although there were some mistakes, I think it came out pretty good seeing that this is just my 5th cake and I'm self taught. I used wax candles for the display and we put them on a real cake for her to blow out. She loved it. TFL!
I made this for a co-worker's wedding shower. I saw this cake on this website and always wanted to make it. I think it turned out very well since i'm an amateur. The only problem was that the top tier tended to sink a little into the bottom tier, but nobody really noticed. The was so much fun to make, I can't wat to make another one.
I made this for an 80th birthday, but thought it would be nice for Mother's Day too. Used BC, RI and Fondant.
This was the first cake I've decorated in 15 years and my first time using fondant. I'm now going to practice making fondant flowers. What fun!
