This cake was made for an Asst Police Chief who is known for wrecking his cruisers :) It is all buttercream with fondant accents. I'm learning how to work with fondant and its does and don'ts, so it is definately not perfect! When the candles were lit, it was as though the hood had caught fire.
This was for my sister's baby shower, thank goodness. The vines and flowers are royal icing and the rest is buttercream icing. The poor frog was about melted by the time I got there from the heat, 2 hours away. I was running a bit behind and totally forgot the mouth of the frog. I had my kit but she loved it anyways and didnt want me to touch it.
Ok, this was my first 3D cake. I was not happy with the flowers but what cant I say. It is all buttercream icing accept the baby trinkets on the flower pot and the baby's face. The baby is holding a rattle and there is a bottle on the grass beside her. I know the pic is kinda bad or small, but I will upload a better one as soon as I get it. But I had to share. Thanks for looking.
