Gold Peacock Feathers
This was for an Indian wedding and the colours were gold and burgundy. Everything looked very rich. I airbrushed the cake with gold colouring and piped the peacock feather design in white. The cake topper was made by the wedding decorator. I think the topper was a little overwhelming in size but the bride liked it and that's all that matters at the end of the day. TFL!

Topsy Turvy Swirls
I made this cake for one of my best friend's wedding. I was recruited to help with her wedding invitations so I took that design and used it on the cake. I think it turned out alright. I had originally purchased black satin ice fondant and it was terrible to work with so I ended up colouring my white satin ice black. That worked much better.

Baby In A Bag!
This idea was originally posted by Cakediosa and I thought it was such a cute idea. I had the opportunity to make a cake for a friends baby shower and thought that I could give it a try! I was going to do a baby rump cake but I absolutely loved the baby in a bag. Thank you Cakediosa for posting your fabulous cakes and ideas! Here is my attempt at it. Thanks for looking!

Yarn Cake
I made this cake for a gentleman's 80th Birthday. Knitting is one of his hobbies so it was appropriate for his birthday cake to showcase that. This is the first cake that I had a catastrophe with. I needed to move one of the balls from one board to another. Not thinking, I just picked up the cake by the sides with my hands and had nothing supporting the bottom. Needless to say the whole bottom of the cake fell right out. This was one hour before customer was to pick up. I had to call her and tell her I would be happy to deliver the cake for her at a later time so that I could fix my huge mistake! I managed to pull it off and re create an entire cake, baking and all, covered in a million strings of fondant in less than 4 hours! Woo Hoo.
