This is a HS graduation cake for someone going to college at NYU Abu Dhabi. Rice Krispies treats covered in fondant for the mosque. Buttercream frosting with Nilla Wafer sand, piping gel water.
I made this cake for my cousin's 40th Birthday. I still need practice smoothing the buttercream and getting the cake completely level.
This is my first cupcake bouquet. It was not an easy task. The cupcakes didn't stay on the dowels very well, I had to secure some with toothpicks. I didn't like how you could see the styro ball either. I also kept hitting the frosting with my hands while trying to put the cupcakes in. Any suggestions are welcome!
This is my first fondant, stacked caked. I haven't taken a fondant class yet, so it was a little challenging, but I think not to bad for my first! I found a picture from Donna Makes Cakes and duplicated it. Thanks Donna!
