Mary Kay Cosmetic Bag
This is a cake for one of my very best friends! She is a Mary Kay rep so I wanted to do a cosmetic bag for her birthday! The cake is chocolate with chocolate ganache filling; the 'makeup' is all fondant/gumpaste. This was SO MUCH FUN to do! It was also a surprise, and she LOVED it! TFL!! (And thanks CC'ers for all the inspiration!)

Black And White Class
This is a cake for one of my very best friends. She is a very sophisticated lady, so I made her the black sparkle gumpaste shoe and some jewelry! The shoe box is a white cake with white fondant, inside is strawberry filling; the tissue paper is fondant/gumpaste, and the bracelet and earrings are fondant/gumpaste with black pixie dust sparklies! It was a surprise, and she LOVED it! TFL!! (And thanks CC'ers for all the inspiration!)

Brain Dead!
Co-worker wanted a 'gross' cake for her son's Halloween party (he's 23) so I asked her if this would be 'gross' enough! She loved it! It is a carved yellow cake with pink fondant and strawberry filling plus strawberry syrup 'blood'. This was a fun one to do! (I think I have a morbid streak in me!)

Relaxing In Tub
Made this cake for a good friend of mine who was celebrating her 49th birthday, and moving into a new house the same weekend; so I thought she could use a "well deserved" relaxation cake! It was a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream filling/frosting.......tub is mmf, all accessories are mmf.... I can see all the flaws, but she loved it, and that's all that matters; plus it was LOADS of fun to do! (sorry, the picture may be a little bit dark!)

Girl With Book
This is my first attempt at Lorraine McKay's female tutorial. As you can see, I need LOTS MORE PRACTICE!!!!!!! haha!!!!!! But, I'm kinda proud of it, even if she does have the most humongous mouth ever! I need to work on my hands/feet ratio!!!! Still, I had the most fun!!!!! Guess I'll keep on practicing!! TFL!!

Cowboy Hat
My first attempt at a cowboy hat! Cake is vanilla with buttercream filling, topped with chocolate mmf......my DH took the end of a bullet to make the impression on the front of the cake! I made it to donate to a country-western dance club that is having a dance off for MS tonight! This was a hard one to do, but I think it turned out ok! Hope you like it!

Chocolate Fondant Cake
I made this cake for a retirement luncheon at work......this is my attempt at chocolate fondant..........it worked beautifully, and tasted great!!!!! (Like a tootsie roll!) I am new at cake decorating, and this is only my 2nd REAL decorated cake.....and I can see the flaws, but it turned out pretty good! The only thingis that the fondant didn't get quite as hard as regular fondant, so I had to use some regular fondant w/the chocolate to make the bow stiffen up. Hope you like it!
