Wedding And Baby Christening
Cakes for a combined wedding and baby christening. The theme was white and blue and the bride had white roses, strings of pearls and blue ribbons in her bouquet. The roses on the cake are made of MMF and dusted with lustre dust as well as the baby gown, it doesn't show that much in the pic but they really sparkled.

Sunflowers And Bumblebees
I made a bunch of cupcakes for a fundraiser at my kids school. They have two different groups at the school, the sunflowers and the bumblebees, so all kids belong to one of the two. So, sunflower cupcakes with bees was fun to do. The bees are made of royal icing and the sunflowers are white chocolate ganache.

Italy
This was a going away cake for a girl who was going to Italy for one year. The mom wanted a soft pink cake with pearls on it and an Italian theme which kind of threw me off at first. Pink and Italy didn't seem to fit, but I like how it turned out. I don't speak italian, so I had to google to find the phrase "Bon voyage" in italian.

Soccer Ball
First time using the Wilton sports ball pan. I was surprised at how small it was, had thought it would be bigger. Anyway, it was for my daughters soccer season finally, and I put it on top of an 8" cake to make more servings. Ball is a little crooked, and I screwed up the pattern in the back. It's so nice that cakes have a back side ;)

Transformers
Transformers characters appently, you learn a lot in the cake buisness :) Characters are RIT, flames RI, and the rest MMF. I had many issues with the RITs this time. Lots of bleeding, especially on the yellow one, and they all broke at the knees while flipping them over. I guess it turned out ok in the end.

Stencil Work
I loved working with a stencil, white on white, on a recent wedding cake. Thought I should up the stakes a little and try a colorful one :) It's easy to scrape off white on white icing if it happens to come outside the stencil. Not so much if you use pink on white. It worked out anyway, and I put some flowers on top just to make it less "naked". Next time I will try black stenciling on a white wedding cake :)
