This cake was one for a little girls 2nd birthday. I modified it from one I saw here. I used a real taira and accessories so she could have them to play with afterwards. The cakes are buttercream with fondant accents.
I made this cake for a friends sister who had twin boys. The inspiration came from the fellow cake decorators on this site. Thanks for the ideas. The catapiller is made out of rice krispie and covered with fondont. The pic image was traced on rice paper and filled in with colored piping gell.
