Darth Maul Cake
I have a friend who secretly loves Star Wars! Sorry for the horribly small photo, I took it on my camera phone (I was running late, as usual). Anyways, this cake looked really cool in real life, I promise. I covered the cake in black fondant, the red and his eyes are fondant, as well as his horns. I chose to create him because Darth Vader is quite the endeavor...perhaps next time, should I get such the opportunity. :]

The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Cake
Wow. This was very...random. I'm not sure if you recognize the symbol, but kudos if you do. Anyways, I have a friends who really likes Prince....and requested this. The cake is covered in buttercream (which I thought turned out very smoothly, for once!) and the symbol is purple fondant.

Don't Open Until 2009!
This cake is more birthday-ey than new years-ey....but I just wanted to utilize all my new Christmas presents! (Pink pearl dust, an awesome spiral rolling pin, and a fondant embosser!) The cake is covered in fondant, the tag is also fondant, the bow is gumpaste (please give me some feedback on the bow! It's my second one made from gumpaste!) Happy New Year's!

Princess/tiara Cake
I made my cousin (who had a princess party) this mini-cake! The tiara is royal icing, the piped decorations are royal icing, as well. The cake is covered in fondant, with a random pink piece on the top. :] The girl I made it for barely acknowledged it ( :[ )...but hey, I guess she was busy with her bounce-castle...

Breast Cancer Ribbon
I made this cake for my friend's mother. The cake is iced with buttercream. The ribbon is fondant, and the flower is gumpaste. (Note: I have never used gumpaste, so this was quite the experiment not having any of the tools...) The icing used for the border and side decoration is royal icing. :]

Nightmare Before Christmas Cake
This cake is shown from 6 different angles. The top is, of course, Jack's head while the sides are many of the characters/scenes from the movie. (The curly hill, oogie boogie, lock, shock, barrel, and zero). These are all made out of fondant (which covers the cake, too). Jack's face is piped with buttercream.

Krabby Patty Cake
It's a Krabby Patty! Actually, it looks a lot like a hamburger, but I wanted it to have a cartoon-ish feel. I used marshmallow fondant on everything except for the patty, which is covered in chocolate buttercream. If I were to make the cake again, I would make Spongebob figures to be on top.
