Double tiered bridal shower cake with calla lilies. Purple/green color scheme. bottom layer is red velvet, cream cheese frosting, covered in fondant. Top tier is vanilla cake with strawberry filling covered in fondant. Calla Lilies are gumpaste. First cake for non-family event.

Sports Cake

Basketball, Soccer, Baseball cake covered in MMF. Lines on baseball and basketball are buttercream. Made a stencil for the name and colored in with edible marker. Panels for soccer ball were cut out of fondant and placed on cake. Thanks to so many on this site for the inspiration... especially tideeboo_larkilou.

Snowman Cake

Snowman is fondant. Trees are sugar cones with royal icing (using the same tip you use to make mums). Everything else is buttercream. Thanks to kelleym and others for the inspiration on this.

Lazy Fishing

Marble cake with buttercream icing and fondant/ gumpaste figures. Thanks to many on this site for ideas... especially ladywax05. These were my first fondant figures... still need to work on it, but overall I didn't think it was too bad for a first attempt... and little to no artistic ability on my part. Had lots of fun.

Buzz Lightyear Birthday Cake Space Ranger

Used inspiration from Dixiegal01 and Ishi to come up with this cake design. First time using homemade fondant (used Macs Mom's BC flavored fondant recipe)... which was so much better tasting than bought fondant! Son loved the cake.
