Golf For A Retiree
I found several pics on here for this cake. This was for one of our custodians who was retiring. He plans on golfing all day everyday!! Cake is (2) 10", (2) 8" and the Ball pan. All buttercream and wilton spray color (some of the areas ran...oops). I iced the ball first, and let it sit (30-45 mins) I then took my green fondat "baller"(?) and made the "divets". Thanks for the inspiration one and all!!!

Turkey Choping Block!
My girlfriend found a picture on this site of the turkey on the chopping block. She loved it and decided that it would be great for a surprise 60th joint birthday. The block is (2) 10" squares, the turkey is (2) 6" rounds with a half ball on top. All buttercream except turkey neck (head) and legs are fondant, and Feathers are gumpaste. I dried them on plastic wrap to give them a "ruffled" look. Thanks for the inspiring picture. TFL

Coca-Cola Bottle And Glass
This cake was for a retirement. She worked at a plant that makes the plastic bottles for coke (hence the plastic and not a can). I think it turned out alright. I live in a small town, so I wasn't able to find the rock candy. Cake is (3) 6" and (2) 8" on top. All buttercream, used tip 21 up and down the dowel and on the top of the "glass" to look like bubbles. Thanks to all who have posted this cake before, 'cause they were inspiring!!! TFL

I Hate String Work!!
This was a very young bride with more "mature" tastes....did I forget to mention I hate string work.....it's hard to see but it is there!!! It was an outdoor wedding, and they insisted it sit on this stump. The MOB said she would take care of getting it and having it at the reception site. She did, but forgot to mention that it was OVAL! I was not a happy camper, but made do. Iced in buttercream with royal icing sweet peas. TFL

So my mom bought me a couple of Colette's books. I keep them in my bag when I do tastings......the bride saw it in the book and had to have it. Please keep in mind this was my first time to do the following......carved, coverd in fondant, painting, ribbon roses (luv them)-over all a first time for it all!!!

Princess
Mom handed me a pic that her little girl liked..... I asked her if she wanted me to make her a crown or use one that she could play with later......you can see what she chose. I think it would have looke different if I had been able to make the crown. Iced in buttercream with edible pearl dragees.

Thomas The Train
I got the idea on this site. Thanks to all who have posted before me. All buttercream ( except train of course). I used a 6"and 10". What I love most about doing cakes is that I get to be a part of that familys memories. This was Anthonys 2nd birthday, and I got to do his 1st birthday and both baby showers.....I think that is way cool!!!!
