the nightmare cake! DH off at work, home alone with my 4 kids, 2 cakes due. the client chose a pic like this but the books were all fondant. well she doesn't like the taste so she wanted bc. way way hard to do this with bc. kids still driving me nuts! i iced and smoothed the 1st cake when i realized i "forgot to put the filling!" that's when u just want to throw in the towel! not happy with this one although the cake tastes awsome!
i decided to make bridesmaids to go with the bride at like 1a.m. first attempt. not a very uniform job. i found it very difficult to wrap the fondant around the little cupcakes . maybe someone can give me a little tip on an easier way to do it.TFL.
this was the first cake i've ever charged for. i told the person to make sure to put the cake on the floor of the car! he didn't listen! the cake didn't make it to the party.

i was trying to get the angle just right on the styrofoam. i never did one of these before. i need alot more practice. cause it was very tipsy. i guess you can't make the bottom that small.
i made this for a friends b-day. i tryed a scratch recipe for the cake and it turned out like week old cornbread!haha. so i made him another plain cake with plain white buttercream!

my first cake that made it out of the kitchen! the bc is sooo not smooth! pretty colors though i think.
