This was a last minute cake .A couple at my mom's church had given birth 2 mnths early. So my mom came in after church sunday morning and wanted to know if since I was already baking for a halloween party if I could make them a cake for after church that night. This is what I came up with.

The house is vanilla cake with buttercream . The tombstones are candy melts. The witch , tree, cauldron are mmf. There are assorted royal icing and fondant accents. This was a lot of work but i had a blast making it.
The cake and wallet are iced with buttercream and coated with fondant.I made this for a friend who is a purse fanatic. It was a bit rushed but i think it turned out alright

This is my 2nd cake. It was for my son's 12th b-day. The whole thing is covered in mmf and the characters are royal icing transfers. The "popcorn" are marshmallows. I received lots of ideas from the pics on here.
This is my very 1st attempt at a 3-d type cake. I have done cakes in a wilton shaped pan before, but this was a first for fondant also. I had some issues but it was a learning expience for me. The walls are all fondant with buttercream and royal icing decorations. I got a lot of inspiration from browsing pic's on this site. this cake was for a 4 yr old girl. She did not mind the lack of experience she just saw a castle and thought it was neat.
