80's Goth Rock inspired birthday cake
Inspiration was taken from the couples wedding stationery for the hand piped side design. We decided to adorn the top tier with a hand crafted pink hydrangea to match the pink themes of the bridesmaid outfits.

This cake consists of 3 tier oblong with sugar bamboo orchids, sugar 'bamboo page' butterflies and hand crafted sugar bamboo to the base stand.

This is the cake I designed and created for my wedding on the 4th July this year. It is covered in individually cut out pieces of modelling paste and topped with a hand made sugar peony.
This was my first wedding cake which I made for my friends in July. I made sugar Orchids for the top (first flowers I made) and edible sequins to match the bodice on the bride's dress. Thankfully they loved it :o) This cake was also in the British Sugar craft Guild's September newsletter in the Skills section with a 'how to' for the sequins :o)
