Thanks to mgdsue02 for help with this one. If I had it to do over again, I would DEFINITELY do things differently. Live and learn, I guess.
Thanks to pippilota for inspiration and tutorial. MMF was a little soft, so it's not the best. Definitely learned a great deal with this one.
Playing around with left over icing and cupcakes.
Left over batter and left over icing.
Thanks to Teekakes for the inspiration.
Gingerbread cake with maple buttercream.
Thanks to zatsdeb for the inspiration. I had so much fun making this. I named him "Seymour."
Thanks to Creas for the inspiration. I had some left over icing, so I decided to give these cute little guys a try. Super fun to make!
My grandmother asked me to make the cake for hers and my grandfather's 60th anniversary. What an honor! Not too shabby for a cake that traveled over 3 hours!
My first attempt. Had no clue what I was doing, but I had fun. :-)
Ivory MMF fondant with fondant bow. Thankfully, this was just a practice cake, as it turned out horribly! This is the cake that made me finally invest in the Sugar Shack DVDs. :-)
So, it's not Sugar Shack quality YET, but I'm making progress. ;-)
This cake was a complete disaster! At least the bow turned out nicely. Chocolate cake, chocolate BC, fondant decorations.
Butter cake, vanilla BC, and MMF fondant. Monogrammed with black icing gel. Gumpaste daisy.
White cake, chocolate BC, and cookies n' cream filling. The theme colors for the shower were brown and sage green. All decorations are gumpaste.
Wilton - Fondant / Gumpaste class.
Wilton Course 2 final cake. I didn't like the assignment, so I came up with my own idea.
I didn't like the assignment for the Wilton Course 3 final cake, so I came up with my own design. :-)
I did this cake for my step mother's 50th birthday.
