Typically I don't use plastic on my cakes but the little girl wanted this particular character. The dress was "designed" using fondant and an embossing roller. I applied pearl luster dust to make it look like satin then placed silver dragees here and there. After she was done, I combed her ratty hair! Hope none got on her dress!!

Wine Bottle In Crate
So much fun! Crate and wine bottle are pound cake with raspberry filling. Fondant over both. Grapes, leaves and vines are fondant as well. I gave them a "shine" with corn syrup and vodka mixture and brushed it on. Shredded "paper" is white chocolate that I grated with potato peeler. Crate was painted to resemble wood. This was created for a wine tasting event. Label is an edible image I created on Word with the companies logo.

Tiffany
Cake for a Tiffany-colored wedding. Bride saw pic somewhere (sure wish I could give the original designer the proper credit but I don't know who it is) and asked if I could duplicate it. I said "OF COURSE"! HeeHee However, I always tweek here and there (with the o.k. of the bride) when someone asks me to copy a cake. I added the gum paste monogram and the tiers were a little different.

Country And Rock N Roll
Groom was country and bride was rock n roll. Mostly fondant except guitars and boots on the top which were completely made by hand from gum paste. My boyfriend and I had a good laugh when we were looking at the pictures after delivering the cake and realized that the guitars were "stringless"! The "hay" is fondant brushed with Karo syrup and rolled in Shredded Wheat. So much fun!! Oh yea, I forgot... the hats and boots on the SIDE of the cake were molded (Yeah-I cheated!!) but the cactus were handmade.
