This was the first cake I made when I completed all of the Wilton Courses. It was for my niece Brenna's 5th birthday. I remember the edible image was tearing and I was freaking out but I went around the picture using the star tip a couple extra times! The cake was a double layer half white and half chocolate with buttercream frosting.
This was my first attempt at using fondant. It was for the Wilton Course 3. I can see a lot of things I would do differently but all in all, not bad for the first time don't you think?
This was my Wilton Course 2 final cake. It was the first time I tried doing the basket weave technique. My hand & wrist were killing me by the time I got all the way around! I had a lot of fun learning how to make all of the different flowers using royal icing.
Top layer is cherry chip. Bottom layer is yellow cake with chocolate bavarian filling. All frosting is buttercream.
This is a white cake with buttercream frosting and white fondant with fondant roses.
