Blue Waves
The "separator" for this cake is actually a glass candle holder that I found at a thrift shop. I thought it was a neat design so I designed a cake around it. I've duplicated it several times & it has actually turned out to be one of the most popular designs with my clients. Funny....all from a trip to the thrift store!

Scrollwork With Flowers
4 tiers, all buttercream, pillared with flowers in between. I think the florist did a great job with the flowers! The border was made of sheer ribbon. The ribbon looks spotted in the picture, however it looked fine in person (I think it was just from the flash on the camera). I have other photos where the ribbon looks fine, but this really is the best picture of the cake itself so I wanted to use it for posting. TFL!

Guitar With Ladybug
This is a chocolate fudge groom's cake that I made for a rehearsal dinner. The guitar is a replica of the groom's guitar (she brought me a picture). Ladybugs had some significance for the two of them so the bride asked for a ladybug to be crawling on the guitar. All fondant decor with airbrushing.

Pink Zebra Cake
I've seen a few cakes with zebra stripes & so I thought I would give it a try. I made this cake for my friends 26th birthday over the weekend. Not only does she love the mad hatter style cakes, but she is a huge 80's fan. I thought by adding the zebra stripes with her two fave colors (bright green & pink) it gave it the perfect 80's look. She loved it! :)

Languages Of Love
This was a cake that I did for a bridal show. This one went a little backwards than normal....I saw the topper first, then designed the cake around it. The middle tier was copied off of something I saw done in a European cake magazine. There are four phrases in different languages on the cake...... Love, Amour, Amore, & Je taime. And then of course the X's & O's for hugs & kisses!

Cinderella Wedding Cake
This cake was done for a Cinderella themed wedding. Frosted with buttercream icing (brick imprinted) & fondant accents. The turrets & stairs were styrofoam that I covered in brick imprinted fondant. I also sprinkled sanding sugar on the turrets to make them sparkle. I suggested that we use a barbie doll shoe on the stairs so it was size appropriate, but the bride wanted it to be bigger so that it would stand out more.

Golf Bag Cake
This was made for a groom who is obsessed with golfing. The golf balls are made out of white chocolate & everything else was fondant except for the wooden dowels that were used for the "stick" part of the golf clubs. The clubs were originally going to go into the top of the cake for extra support, but when I arrived with the cake, they had found a topper they wanted to put on it so we I placed the clubs around it instead.
