We used a 1/2 sheet cake and cut the corner out for the base of the pirate ship. The remainder of the sheet cake was decorated as the land and shoreline. To make the ship, we used a 1/4 sheet cake and cut it to match our base and then added layers at each end to make different levels. We covered the ship with Marshmallow Fondant and used pretzels, candies and buttercream to decorate it. We added mini battery lights on the ship for a special effect.
I made this 3-D Pumpkin cake using one 10" round layer and two bundt layers. It was a large cake! I covered it with Marshmallow Fondant and cut the leaves & vine from the fondant. The stem is also fondant. Everything is edible. This cake brought lots of fun to the table - as people did not realize it was a cake.
We made this Hello Kitty cake using a combination of 8", 6" and dome shaped pans and cupcakes for the feet. It is covered and decorated with Marshmallow Fondant. It received a great response and looked like a stuffed animal sitting on the table!
