Teacher's gifts for Valentine's day. After a very long break I did this, so it was a little difficult, ideas from fellow CC experts.
Just a very simple birthday cake for a 17 year old. It was last minute and did not have much time to plan it out and also to try out my impression mat.

Made these cupcakes for a graduation party. The color theme was yellow and brown. The cupcakes are Lemon with Lemon buttercream, Chocolate with Mocha buttercream. All accents are fondant.
Did these along with some tulips for our school summer fair.
Tried the old trick with purple flowers this time. I think I'm getting tired of making these flowers. Need to learn to make new ones.

Fondant flowers that accompanied my kid's birthday cake and cupcakes
WASC with lemon curd and strawberry preserve, iced with buttercream and fondant accents. After seeing all the cakes @ CC, I was hesitant to post this one, but since I am self taught and a really bad one, I thought I'll post it.
All inspired from CC. Couldn't come up with anything original. Haha. Everything went wrong today. Did not have a single egg nor baking powder, was too late to run out and get them. So instead substituted the NFSC recipe with self raising flour and apple sauce. They turned out good.
Part of the150 cupcakes I baked for a fundraiser in my community center over the weekend. My first time trying out the WASC recipe. It is the best recipe ever.
Blue butterflies for my kid's 5th birthday. Last year she had pink hello kitty, so this year went with the boys color and opted for blue butterflies. Idea was from Hello Cupcake. These are no where close to the original ones in the book.

New year Champagne cheer. Used Antonia74 icing with Dragee as the bubbles. I'm not sure if they look like bubbles. I did not have the white edible pearls. I wasn't sure what color would look good as Champagne either. Thank you for looking.

My first try with fondant and gumpaste. It is the bottom tier only, I did not take a picture of the finished cake. It had another smaller tier with a cluster of pink roses and white small flowers. TFL.

Strawberry cupcakes with a summer beach theme. Original credit goes to Zalita's. Also were made by a fellow CCmember becky27. Could not for the love of cakes make the flipflops. So instead decided to do use the gumballs as beach balls. Forgot to take a picture after it was completed. This one was taken after half the cupcakes were eaten. The kids loved them. Thanks to Zalita for her inspiration. Can someone please post a thread on how to make such small flipflops.
