Joyce's 70Th Hawaiian Birthday Party
Made this cake for my Aunt it was a Hawaiian themed party. I saw Brit 13 cake on Cake Central and decided that was the one for Joyce. Thank you for posting Birt 13. Buttercream with gumpaste flowers, leaves and bamboo. I had to add extra leaves as I kept putting my fingers in the buttercream trying to put the bamboo on. Aunt doesn't care to much for fondant. 6 inch and 12 inch cake pans.

Snow Fairy
From the book Making Sugar Fairies by Cecilia Morana. Hand sculpted and hand painted fairy I did use a mold for the face only. Top is real chocolate cake bottom cake is styrofoam covered in fondant. I was worried about traveling with this cake but all ended well. The sweet 16 Samantha thanked me so many times, as she loves fairies.

Haylee's Zebra Cake
This was actually purple but the camera turned it blue. Sister's granddaughter wanted a Zebra cake and thanks to CC for all the lovely Zebra cakes I came up with this. The stripes were not as hard cutting free handed as I thought. She would not eat the cake, she is saving it forever! I should of done it on a cake dummy! I guess she really liked it. Her boyfriend bought her a eating cake!

Mark Lewis Sax
Made for a Jazz musician for his birthday, I took it to the performance and he loved it. It was shared with the crowd. One woman said that is the prettiest cake she had ever seen. I believe she has never seen any of the cakes on Cake Central! Blues Brothers fashioned after others on CC. Thanks CC.

Evan's Birthday Castle Cake
All cake, if I had it to do over I would use Rice Krispie treats for the turrets. Turrets kept wanting to lean so had to stick several straws to keep them upright. Grandson wanted his photo on the castle so I came up with this idea. Hidden from view are the words "It's good to be King". He loved it.
