Family Tree
I made this cake for our family reunion last year. Let me start off by sayin the whole top part of the tree was a huge dissapointment for me. I wanted it to look full and green like a live tree, but instead it ended up looking like a dead tree :( but lesson learned. The pictures were printed on edible image paper and attached to candy plaques that I made. The tree is rice crispy treats covered with fondant. The branches were wire covered in fondant. The leaves were gumpaste. There are paper tags hanging in the tree from thin ribbon. These paper tags have names of each person in the family. It was fun to watch everyone go up to the cake and find their name and talk about the pictures.

Phineas And Ferb
My son loved the show Phineas and Ferb. When I made the cake the show was still pretty new and there weren't any toys or figures I could find to go with the theme. So I opted to draw the characters on cardstock, color, and cut them out. Then I just attached them to toothpicks and used those to decorate the cake.

Mickey Mouse
I made this cake for my neighbor's son. The bottom layer is a 14" double layer cake. Then Mickey sits on top of that. I also made 50 cupcakes with mouse ears to go along with the cake, and a smash cake for the baby. This turned out to be a ton of cake. Good thing they had a lot of friends and family at the party.
