Thank you to everyone that uploaded a beehive cake before me. All of you were inspiration for this cake. This was made as my final cake for my wilton gumpaste course. I am real happy with the way it turned out. The beehive is chocolate with chocolate buttercream covered in fondant, the stripes are "painted" with brown food coloring. The base cake is vanilla pound cake with buttercream covered in fondant. All bees, flowers and grass are gumpaste and/or fondant. My teenage kids think this is the best cake I've ever made. You can't beat that compliment!!!
