Tate's Train Cake
9" single-layer stacked with a 6" double-layer topped with a cupcake for the birthday boy. Fondant hills and name, royal clouds and trees, buttercream base. The train is not edible. Very fun (and quick!) cake to put together. Thanks to "troysbbgirl" for the inspiration from her Thomas cake!

Sunshine School Cake
This was a cake for Teacher Appreciation Week at my daughter's preschool, Sunshine School. The wording reads, "Kids bloom thanks to you, Sunshine School Teachers!" Flowers and sunshine are fondant, clouds are royal, cake is iced in buttercream. I had some technical difficulties getting the larger flowers to stay put; they kept sliding down the cake. I probably should have anchored lollipop sticks to the backs with bark chocolate or royal. Used the Wilton icing writer for kids' faces and stitching lines.

Pink Poodle Birthday Cake
Here is the cake that my daughter and I had been planning and looking forward to for at least seven months! After seeing one of her favorite book characters in a poodle skirt (Fancy Nancy), she decided then that she would have a poodle birthday party. The poodle is fondant. There is a fabric ribbon around his neck and plastic bead trim as the leash. The number 4 is fondant as well. Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy. Thanks for looking!

Camping And Fishing Birthday Cake
My little man requested a "camping and fishing" 6th birthday party. The cake is based on a design from the 2005 Wilton Yearbook using buttercream, fondant, royal, and piping gel in addition to sugar cones, graham crackers, pretzels, Swedish Fish, a gummy turtle, and dental floss! The fondant figures each looked like a party guest. I had quite a few "issues" with this cake -- buttercream was too thin, royal was too thick, the fondant body parts wouldn't stick together -- but overall this cake was a blast!

Valentine's Day Cuppies!
Strawberry cupcakes iced with buttercream, fondant roses, sugar cookies iced with Wilton cookie icing. These were inspired by cupcakes posted by IcingDreams on flickr.com. (She does the most beautiful cupcakes I've ever seen!) I believe the idea to add a cookie on top came from a Wilton idea book. I baked the cookies on lollipop sticks for stability.

Pink And Green Baby Shower
With a little help from my friend Sheryl (OK, it was really A LOT of help!), we created this masterpiece for our dear friend. It's definitely the biggest project I've ever taken on. Covered in fondant; decorated with fondant rolled roses. Wilton topper. This is my favorite cake that's ever come out of my kitchen!!!
