I had to make a cake for 6 people's birthday celebration, so I decided to make each of them a "candle". Each candle is covered in fondant. I cut a "flame" out by hand and used a dowel to attach it to the top. I covered that in buttercream. The decorations were cut out fondant shapes and I used Wilton Glitter gel to write their names on them.
3 tier wedding cake. Butter cream frosting. Buttercream yellow roses. Silk accent blue flowers.
2 tier cake. Covered in Fondant. I used a black satin ribbon around the bottom of each tier. Buttercream music notes. Silk rose/ribbon on the board with a print out message. The mask was made using Candy Clay and molded by hand
This is my final cake for Course 2. I chose to not do the birds, but did ballet slippers for my daughter. The cake was a lot of fun to put together once the basketweave was finished.
