Butter cream with fondant accents.
The birthday boy had requested a carrot cake, so the cake was iced in cream cheese frosting. Baseball diamond was made with fondant accents, and grass was buttercream since the cream cheese frosting wont hold up.
Chocolate cake covered in fondant. Fondant decorations, chess pieces. Apple was made of wood, didnt have time to make that in fondant.

Made this for my course 2 finale cake. Cake is frosted in buttercream, basket weaved. Flowers are made from royal icing.
