Gone Fishin'
Made this cake for one of my favorite students. I taught him when he was two years old... he's 13 and a real outdoorsman now. My favorite part is the bucket of worms sitting on the pier... hard to see in this photo. I'll post a close up shot. I used oreos for the dirt so the cake smelled really great! The icing is all buttercream. I made the camouflage by layering several colors over top of each other and smoothing them together.

High School Musical
I had so much fun making this cake for a very special little girl at my church. This was my first try making popcorn - it turned out to be much easier than I thought. The birthday girl and her sisters took turns playing with the gum paste microphone before they cut the cake - Cake Karaoke!

An Edible Aquarium
This cake celebrates a special birthday - made for a guy whose hobby is setting up aquariums. I used Nerds candy for the gravel and made all the chocolate shells myself and then brushed them with luster dust for a very cool effect. The hardest part was getting the fondant top on the tank. The main icing is several colors of buttercream blended together with a warm spatula. Cake is 8" round and three layers high!

A Present For A Sweet Sixteen
This is my first purse cake and it was a lot of fun! I made it for my daughter's best friend's 16th birthday. Bottom cake was 10" pound cake and purse was two 8" rounds, carved and standing upright. Thanks to fellow CCer, katharry, for the inspiration to tackle the purse.
