Combined 21st and 40th, mother and daughter cake, top layer carrot and bottom tier is chocolate. The bow is removable as the cake is going to be frozen and then thawed and I didn't think the bow was hold up to that. Really enjoyed doing the scrolls and thanks for the inspiration from others on this site. TFL
Bottom 2 tiers are chocolate cake with chocolate, cream cheese filling. The top cupcake is a red velvet with cream cheese filling. This picture was taken soon after I finished it last night, however this morning when I got up, the cupcake had slipped off. I tried to make the "bottom" part of the cupcake in cake but at room temp, it was just not strong enough to support the top. So ended up covering some polysteyrene with fondant and using this as the bottom part. The candle ended up breaking in half too so is now a bit shorter than this pic. Oh well, we learn by our mistakes, lol. This is the 1st time I'd done the swags and at least they came out really good. TFL

Both tiers are chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, cream cheese filling. All covered with fondant. Bow was fondant and I should have added GumTex or used gumpaste as its not as hard as it should be. All the gold accents have been painted with the edible gold paint.

The special thing about this cake was the colours on the inside. Colouring the batter was lots of fun and made it more interesting

Four tier cake, bottom tier is chocolate, 2nd and top tiers are caramel and the round tier is vanilla. used a few different techniques on this one and the number on top is really hard to get standing up. Was so fragile that is broke before the party, oh well, lesson learned. tfl.
3 tier traditional fruit cakes covered in marzipan and fondant, with white icing roses and silver ribbon covered with a sparkly lacy mesh ribbon. Man is this cake heavy.

Two tier birthday cake. Top cake is lemon with a lemon curd filling. Bottom cake is a light fruit. All covered with fondant with decorations a mix of gumpaste, fondant and royal icing flowers.

Torted chocolate cake with cream cheese ganache filling and covered in fondant. Fondant flowers and fence. Vertical flowers have a skewer covered in fondant to help them stand up.
Pale Pink and Ivory fondant ribbons and bows on a pure white fondant iced fruit cake. The cutouts on the ribbons were a real hit. Easy to do but obviously look difficult. The people loved the cake so much that they didn't cut it. Took it home to have over christmas.
