I put this together using the Disney princess castle kit. We got a picture of the birthday girl and actually covered one of the princesses' window with her. The birthday girl was part of the cake, too! Buttercream frosting.
Whipped icing with sugar footballs around the sides (and one on top). The recipient is a New England Patriots fan, hence the blue & red theme.
I used fondant to create the overalls for this cake. I used the shower invitation graphic as my guide. Everything is freehand except the little yellow ducks. The cake is whipped icing. I created the ruffles using a leaf tip.
I used a mold and fondant to create the motorcycle. The cake is iced with whipped icing.
I melted red-colored candy chips and let it harden, then shaved them to create the fur effect.
Whipped icing (star tip) with fondant stripes.
Buttercream frosting with cut fondant flowers that matched the detail on the boots.
Buttercream frosting on dummy rounds. Fake flowers cascading down with silver ribbon adorning each tier. The tiers are offset, there is a bow detail on the back at each tier. (I don't have a photo, will add it when I finally get one!)
Buttercream frosting with colored buttercream piping. Cut fondant disc on top with (freehand) piping of sweet pea pod on top.
Buttercream frosting with a fondant swimmer doing the back stroke.
Buttercream frosting with fondant dots & fondant booties on top.
Buttercream frosting and piping - painted the piping with gold luster dust(!). The leaves are fondant, again painted with gold luster dust. Gold non-perils on the top two tiers.
