Thanks to all the wonderfull examples of coyboy cakes on this site. I just found a few that I liked and put the ideas together to make this cake. I am still trying to master fondant. yikes!!!! I used MMF (yum) and a WASC recipe from this site. The topper is MMF as well. The cake was for my sisters babyshower. I hope that you all like it! : )
Ok, hers my first attempt with fondant. After reading here on CC about MMF, I thought I should give it a try. I need a ton of practice but it was super fun to make and work with.....plus it tastes good. This cake was for my sister's baby shower. WASC filled w/ rasberry mousse...B/C crumbcoat, MMF covered w/ gumpaste flowers.
This was a really fun cake. Kittens are fondant, yarn balls are cupcakes and handle is a wire armature covered in rice crispy treats. Frosted w/ BC
I made this for my daughter's 8th. I used pound cake because I needed somthing firm for the guitar. Mostly buttercream with fondant details. My favorite part is the fondant spike bracelet.
