John Wayne Bust
This is my first attempt at a life size 3D bust of John Wayne. The cake is the body from the next down. I purchased a styrofoam wig stand for the head and shaped it over a 3 day period to look as close to John Wayne as possible. The hat is the client's real hat. Humidity in the area recently caused my prior 6 hats to break. Thanks for looking!

Craftsman / Hamburger
The birthday boy loves tools and hamburgers so his wife wanted to give him both. The hamburger was made from two 4" round cakes, covered in buttercream and airbrushed. The condiments were fondant. The toolbox was made from two 11x15 sheet cakes stacked and covered with buttercream then airbrushed. All decorations and tools are fondant. Took longer than anticipated but it was worth it since the birthday boy loved it!

Air Force
My neighbor requested an Air Force cake for her nephew that was leaving for Iraq and this site had so many great examples that I couldn't help but replicate them. Duplication truly IS the best compliment I could give all the great ideas. This is a 10 inch square covered in buttercream with fondant decorations. The stripes and the logo were both edible images.

Bling Wedding Cake
Bride wanted a cake with a lot of bling on it and found this one on the internet. The cakes are 8", 10" and 12" tiers covered in buttercream. The "bling ribbon" was purchased by the bride, cut to fit, and secured with royal icing (it was a bit heavy). Edible sugar diamonds were also put on the two bottom tiers. I would probably not combine these with that ribbon again since they are so contrasting. Flowers are gum paste and sprayed with lustre spray for a pearl look.

Deer Hunter / Camo Groom's Cake
Groom received a similar picture of this cake through email and decided this was what he wanted for his cake. 8", 10", and 12" round tiers were covered in fondant and airbrushed for camo look. Deer head was store purchased. Leaves are gumpaste and airbrushed. This cake was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for looking.
