I did this for a friends daughter. She wanted tie-dye'd cake so went ahead and make the cake itself tie-dye'd. Everyone loved it and it was a blast to make. This was my first attempt with an airbrush.
For my daughter's 3rd B-Day she wanted strawberry shortcake, instead of the typical cake pan design I decided to create the hat. I used a 12 in cake pan for the base, I used the Betty Crocker Bake and Fill set to create the top of the cake. I filled the cake with strawberry Ice cream. Iced with strawberry icing, cut strawberry 's in half and placed them on the cake and purchased a ribbon to wrap around the cake itself.
This is my first attempt at a themed cake... I usually buy a cake but I wanted to do one of my own. I didn't have a cake pan so I hand drew the scooby onto a basic round cake and then iced in the sketch. My daughter was really into scooby doo at her 2nd birthday. It has alot of mistakes but hey... it was my first attepmt.
