I had a lot of help from other cake central members with this one. I followed their advise and gave Scoop three tiers of chocolate pound cake and carved it from there. The posts and hydrolic looking arms are made out of pretzels covered in gum paste. The cabin top is a chocolate bar and the back how is made out of cereal squares. (note of caution-act fast cereal bars start to melt when working too long in the kitchen). Dirt is from cookies crumbs and cupcakes making the whole construction scene complete.
Made from a flat Wilton fire Truck cake pan X 2. One side is chocolate pound cake and the other side is chocolate pound cake. I then cut out around the truck itself, and then put it up right to make it 3-D. Put the 2 sides together with butter cream icing. Decorated it with royal icing.
Hand carved from chocolate pound cake. Covered with starred buttercream. Accented with bendy black straws and a face plate from our local Harley Davidson store. Flat cake made out of chocolate pound cake and road made out of gum paste.
