This was done for a casino night in our neighborhood. I covered the cake in fondant, and did the rest of the decorations in buttercream. Hardly anybody ate the cake....I think they were afraid to cut into it!!!
I cannot take credit for the idea on this cake.....the customer emailed me a picture she found on the internet and I created exactly what she sent! Such a funny idea, though! It was hard to cut out the mouth without it caving in.
I tried to match the design on the napkin. Baby shower cake for baby boy.
This was my first attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer. Actually, it's been my only attempt so far! I was surprised that the color of the background on the transfer turned out a different color than the rest of the cake, even though they are supposed to be the same color.
I matched the cake to the baby's nursery and tried to use the squares to look a little like a baby quilt.
Booties are made from buttercream. I loved the way these turned out!
This is a 1/4 sheet cake, all buttercream icing.
The birthday girl was having a wizard themed party so I thought a wizard hat would be cute! I used the wonder mold pan for the bottom part and an ice cream cone to make it pointy on the top. It was pretty simple and straight forward!
Horse was made from Wilton's 3D duck pan. It was very difficult to make and I was a nervous wreck when we had to deliver it!
