The Kitchen Sink
This is a cake for my friends mom's surprise birthday party on Saturday. No one knows she's retiring, hence the wording on the card. The housewife/cleaning reference is because she always jokes around about retiring from housework as well, lol. This cake gave me a headache today due to many issues. I 'think' I won in the end, lol. I will most likely re-do the card on Saturday as my arm is killing me and the icing was too stiff to write as smooth as I wanted. I'll pick up some writing gel and just re-roll another gumpaste card. I'm mostly happy with this... just not as thrilled as I wanted to be. Then again are we ever? Darn perfectionism, lol Cake flavors are choc and wasc with a cream cheese/choc chip filling.

Choc & Irish Cream Cupcakes
These were tall chocolate cupcakes with irish cream filling and frosting. After frosting they were dipped in granulated cane juice, topped with a spot of more irish cream frosting and a non-parielle. The frosting was the best part. I don't like frosting but I couldn't resist it. Luckily these were made for a coworker, lol.

Cactus Garden
This cake was inspired by one done by Collette Peters. Round cacti with spines are buttercream and royal icing, flowers are royal icing. The 2 other cacti are fondant with the taller one having a florist wire frame underneath. The dirt is cocoa crispies ground in a food processor. Terra cotta base is exactly that. Original pic deleted and reposted to expand on the description. I apologize to those that already viewed it, commented and/or saved to favâs. thanks for all previous comments :)
