Well... this cake ended up looking differently than I had planned but..it was my first time using the color mist and my first time doing the stacked construction like this. My husband thought it was like a traffic signal (red, yellow, green) since it's the cake for their office today. I hope it transports well and I hope they get a kick out of it. I wish I would have smoothed the sides one more time before doing the color mist but...after doing it I couldn't smooth them. Oh well lesson learned. :o)
After I had completed Wilton Course 1. I did the name in color flow that I did on my own. :o) Transferred this one with Piping gel --- what a concept!!!! That saved me SOOOOO much time. but...still would have looked better had I known about BCT. I'm learning.
Another cream cheese icing and hand filled in. Oh yeah and before I knew anything about piping gel transfers and how I would hole punch wax paper and then remove and connect the dots. Wow!
Cream Cheese icing and before I knew anything about buttercream transfers or how to make any shells, flowers, etc... :o) I use to do all my cakes like this.
