Octopus_Cake.jpg
This was a last minute cake for a co-worker who specifically asked for a purple cartoonish octopus holding something. I didn't have time to fondant the tenticles like I wanted, but hey, that's how it goes sometimes. They were made out of rice krispies treats then airbrushed. In the treasure chest are gem shaped hard candies that I also made. The treasure chest is plastic.

Dora Cake
This is three layers of vanilla cake each dyed a different color, with a chocolate chip buttercream filling, and a chocolate buttercream icing. There are chocolate rocks, a blue piping gel lake and waterfall, and the rest is made out of gumpaste. This was for my niece's 4th birthday. In addition to this cake there were 5 separate pieces to the cake, that when all combined made an 18" round cake. Each individual piece was covered in white fondant so the kids could decorate their own piece. They had a blast!

Teacher's Cake
The three textbooks are each different, lemon poundcake with lemon buttercream, chocolate cake w/ fudge and vanilla buttercream, and apple spice pound cake with maple buttercream filling. The globe and apple are rice krispie treats covered in fondant. The rest of the stuff is gumpaste.

Guitar Cake
This is a replica of a gretsch guitar owned by a friends husband for his birthday. It's an apple spice cake with maple-brown sugar cream cheese filling. It's covered in fondant with gumpaste and royal icing accents. The only thing not edible is the "strings" which were made with floral wire. Thanks for looking.

Cookbook Cake
This cake is a Christmas gift for another chef friend of mine. The "cutting board" is pumpkin spice cake, the "books" are apple spice cake both with cream cheese filling. The edible images came from icingimages.com. The knife of course is real and was his "real" gift. :) Thanks for looking.
