This was done for a friend turning, obviously forty! I made the 4 and 0 out of carved cake. The cake is completely iced with BC and the banner is fondant. I set the cake on icing fire to further drive home the point!

I used several ideas from CCers and put them together to come up with this. Her school mascot was a panther so there are paws decorating the cake. The ball on the top is made to look like it is going into a fondant net. Pictures of the girl and fondant paws are popping out of the top.

I found and idea like this on CakeCentral and went with it to fit my theme. The client said she was having a clown and a monkey at the party and aloud my imagination to come up with the rest. The figures were made from fondant and part of the cake was iced in butter cream and the other layer covered in fondant. Besides the characters the bananas are my favorite!

This cake was for a one year's old birthday. It is themed after the PBS show It's a Big Big World. The show features a Sloth (on top), a monkey, a tree frog and a cute bird. All of the characters are made of fondant and they are all situated on a tree stump.
