Flower Pot Disaster
This cake was for my mom's birthday, coconut flavored and I wanted a really creamy coconut filling between the four layers of cake. I did not count that really creamy filling did not go well with really hot weather. While transporting, the filling became thin and the layers slid off. It was covered in fondant, but a very thin layer (ran out of fondant) and it was weakened by the heat and humidity too. We ended up serving dollops of cake with a large spoon, but there wasn't a crumb left, so I guess they liked creamy coconut despite the ugly appearance.

Seashell And Flowers Cascade
Three tier cake (middle tier is chocolate, top and bottom are almond flavored) with a cascade of white chocolate seashells and bright tropical gumpaste flowers, ground graham crackers as "sand". Each tier has a different border: shells for the blue "sea" tier, dots for the chocolate "earth" tier and grass for the green "mountain" tier

Disney Princess Castle
This cake was for my niece. Square 6" on top of 10", covered and details in BC. The turrets, door and topper are part of a set from DecoPac (I believe). The set also has all six figurines. It can be customized with a picture of the Birthday Gilr on the top and placing the Princesses in different locations according to preference. The bottom cake has to be 4" tall to fit the turrets.

Heineken Bottle Cake
Base is 10" almond cake in BC. The bottle cake is my regular vanilla recipe baked in a jelly roll pan, then rolled up and filled with BC to make a cilindrical shape for the bottle, chilled then carved and covered in fondant. Piping needs work, beginners mistake I did the black piping first then filled white around (learned from that one!).

Red Slice Cake
The cake is Red Velvet with cream cheese BC and filling, covered in red fondant. This was for a 40th wedding anniversary, which is Ruby so they wanted it red (inside and out). I think that the slice cake is great for anniversaries, since most couples save a slice or tier on the wedding day, and this type of cake sort of reminds of that. Special thanks to farmwife 94 for her support.
