Saints Groom's Cake
This was my first wedding and I had the grooms cake and the wedding cake! It's a 6in and 4in cake (very hard to work with!! Covered in chocolate buttercream with fondant ribbon and gumpaste fleur de lis with gold luster dust. It got a little lopsided, but hopefully I fixed it enough that they couldn't really tell!

Mk Baptism
8in round covered in MFF with fondant and buttercream accents, and gumpaste flowers and cross. The fondant ribbon in the center of the cake always seems to give me problems... never straight and always trys to lose it's shape. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love it! I'm better at the ribbon around the base of the cake.

Minnie Mouse
Made this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Thanks to the great tutorial on this site!! One ear is choc, the other is gluten-free carrot cake, and the face is yellow with 1/2 lemon 1/2 raspberry filling. Everything is buttercream except all dots and all black parts are fondant and bow is 50/50 mix.

Cardinal's Hat
I made this for my BIL -- as I'm a huge Cubs fan, it was a little difficult!! My first hat cake, but I liked the way it came out. Yellow cake with strawberry filling. All covered in fondant with gumpaste bill and STL logo. Buttercream grass and borders. Script "Cardinals" is on the back

Wheel Of Fortune Cake
Ok, this one was for me. I was actually a contestant ON WHEEL OF FORTUNE last week! :) I'm a little disappointed with this one because I had so many cute ideas for it ... but with the "wheel watching" party at our house, other food prep and cleaning took over and I just ran out of time. There's not even a border! :( But here's the top anyway. All MMF with food writers. I spun "Lose a turn" 3 times, so that's why there's so many!! :)

Garden Cake
This cake was for my MIL who loves gardening. This is my favorite cake so far, and definitely the most fun to do!! I combined the Wilton's garden cake with a few other ideas, including a cupcake bouqet (this was my first, and it was fun!!). Iced in buttercream with gumpaste fence and flowers. Everything is edible except the pot. My favorite part is the bees ... and the snail!

Hot Chocolate Mug
this is my take on the hot cocoa mugs from this site. It's all mmf and the steam is 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. I knew it needed a long time to dry, but it was a last minute decision and only had about 2 hours -- hence it sinking and falling over! The bottom cake is an 8" gluten-free carrot cake, and the mug is 3 - 6" darn good chocolate cake with Kahlua cream filling ... yum!

Sports Ball Cake
THis cake was for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She loves all balls (thanks to daddy) so I decided to have a variety. I used Wilton's sports ball pan. All three on bottom are just half. while the soccer ball is a full round. Made RKT stars on sticks covered in white chocolate to stick out the top. I had lotsof trouble keeping them on the sticks!
