Blue Hydrangea Baby Shower
This was for the baby shower of my son's kindergarten teacher. The original design was from a stunning pink hydrangea wedding cake made by peggylicious.
This was made for my son's 7th b-day. It was my 2nd sculpted/3D cake. The midsection and half of the tail was cake. The legs, neck, and end of the tail were RKT, and the head was styrofoam with a cardboard mouth. The sail, claws, teeth and eyes were gumpaste with everything else covered in a crusting BC. The support was originally only on the 2 back legs, but anticipating a bumpy car ride, I put a PVC support toward the front to avoid any potential disasters! TFL!
I made this cake for my daughters' 5th b-day. It was my first sculpted/3D and really turned out great.
Baby Shower Cake
I just adore the cakes of both Cupcakes by Design and Andrea's Sweetcakes'.....so this was my rendition of a "quilted" cake.
Tessa's Princess Cake
3 layers of chocolate cake; one layer fudge filling; one layer chocolate BC filling; iced in vanilla SMBC. Accents are gumpaste and chocolate.
Logan's Superhero Cake
Two layers of vanilla coconut cake and one of white velvet rasperberry swirl. Fillings are cream cheese coconut and raspberry BC; iced in vanilla SMBC. All accents are chocolate.
Precious Planet Mini Cake
This went along with the main cake for the mom-to-be to bring home.....they didn't ask for it, but I couldn't resist making this cute polar bear to go with the rest of the gang!
Hello Kitty Cake
I made this for my daughter's b-day last week. The figurine was hand-shaped and turned out really adorable......kids had it eaten shortly after the cake was cut :>
3 layered cake filled with fudge and frosted with whipped cream. Everything else is fondant and gumpaste.
Brandon's Volcano Cake
My son LOVES dinosaurs, so for his 5th b-day I made him this erupting volcano cake.....it was pretty awesome!
I made this cake for my son, niece, and nephews' birthday. Top layer is rice krispie molded and covered in fondant. Bottom 2 layers are chocolate with ganache. This was my first attempt at woodstaining. Figurines are plastic.
