God Bless Baby
This was a baby dedication cake. I used fondant purchased from a local bakery. It tasted better than the boxed fondant I'd purchased before, but it was certainly more difficult to work with. Therefore, the cake had alot of flaws/ mistakes that I was unable to fix. All fondant except buttercream shell border and dots.

Purple Roses
I made this yellow rolled buttercream to find alternative to fondant (before I had ever heard of marshmallow fondant). The rolled buttercream was great to work with. Mistakes were easy to fix by simply rubbing them out. The look was very smooth with a nice shine. Roses were made with store-bought fondant.

Stacked Gifts
Yikes! This was 4 years ago, and it's painfully obvious that I was just getting started. New decorators, take heart! It does get better! All fondant with buttercream trim. I don't remember the dimensions of the squares, but they are likely 4"x4". I DO remember that this cake almost made me curse. It took me FOREVER!

Golf Ball
Birthday cake for a golf enthusiast. I used a basic theme shown on a popular cake decorator's website, so this isn't my design. Buttercream frosting and grass. The sand was crushed vanilla wafers. The golf ball was marshmallow fondant (which has quickly become my favorite decorating medium).
