Gold Wedding Cake
Wedding cake for a close friend's son. Top tier (8-inch) was banana with cream cheese filling; bottom tier (10-inch) was carrot with cream cheese filling. Covered with fondant brushed with gold dust + vodka. Adorned with inedible ribbon and real roses. I wanted it to be a more solid gold but it ended up sort of mottled looking. Still tasted great! Would have a larger size difference in the tier diameters if I did it again.
