Star Wars Death Star Birthday Cake
My 7yo wanted a Death Star Birthday cake atop two different sized blue levels of cake. So specific I had to oblige. This was my first time doing a stacked cake or the Death Star. Bottom cake is 10" yellow cake, middle is 8" yellow cake and top is made from yellow cake baked in two pyrex bowls. All iced in homemade buttercream. http://blog.booturtle.com/2010/10/death-star-birthday.html

Scooby Doo Candy Plaque
Been wanting to try a candy plaque. Never got around to making a shaped cake for this to sit atop, instead it was just a chocolate Scooby to accompany the Velma cake. This is my first candy plaque. I learned a lot from doing this one and think I will probably be doing others now.

Luau Roasted Pig Cake
For a Luau themed couples wedding shower. The cake body is two different sized pyrex bowls with a Wilton flower nail in the bottom to ensure even cooking. The front feet and snout are cupcakes. The ears are cut pieces from the cupcakes. And the back feet are two Wilton Mini Wonder Molds. I found the apple at Target with their vase filler items. It's smaller proportion was perfect. The wedding couple were very pleased with their cake; they almost didn't want to cut it.

Wonder Woman Cake
I made this for my own 35th birthday. I've loved Wonder Woman since I was four years old. My mom made me a WW cake for my fifth birthday using the Wilton Storybook Doll pan. However, I always wanted this cake from her Wilton Yearbooks. I found the pan on ebay a few years ago and decided I would just make my own cake last year. I loved doing this one. She was so much fun and super tasty too.

Lego Bionicle Dekar Mask Cake
My son wanted one of his beloved Lego Bionicle's mask made into a cake. He handed me the tiny yellow mask of Mahri Nui Matoran Dekar. I thought this was best suited to creating with icing on a sheet cake than a shaped cake. I used the Bionicle alphabet to spell out his name and year on the cake as well. He was very satisfied.
