Butterflies And Knights
The brides symbol was a butterfly and the groom was into all sorts of games, so they combined the two themes to make their wedding invitations. This cake was made to match the invitations as well as the rest of the wedding reception decorations. The lacy blocks were done by pressing a rubber stamp into light blue luster powder and then pressing it onto ivory fondant and cut to fit the boarder. Each of the chess knights on the boarders was cut by hand. The butterflies were done with a 2" cookie cutter. The knight and butterfly on the top was hand molded out of gumpaste. I was not at the top of my game with this one. I had been suffering from swelling in the hands and feet for two weeks before this was due. Thanks go out to my husband for helping me roll the fondant. I just didn't have the strenth in my hands to get the job done.

Halloween 2009
Airbrushed over Italian buttercream, and hand piped with black buttercream for added depth. Sorry for the poor quality photo. I lost my camera and these are the only ones that Ive gotten from the people that had cameras. Ill up date with better ones when I get them. The pumpkin carriage topper was not even in place here.
