6 inch cake with fondant and gumpaste accents. The green ribbon is real. The fondant looks mottled (but isn't) because there is frost on it. I froze it to ship to NY to my sister along with my cherry blossom cake. Amazingly they made it in one piece!
This is a 6 inch cake inspired by a cake from jacquespastries.com The fondant looks a little mottled because there is frost on it. (I froze the cake) I used Satin Ice fondant which held up really well. The color did not run. I shipped this cake to NY to my sister along with my daisy cake. Amazingly they made it in one piece!
This was actually a graduation cake for a neighbor's daughter who saw a picture of it. It is a copy of a design done by Mary-Clee Cadman at Maisie Fantaisie in the UK. She does such beautiful work! I changed the tier sizes for the party. it was 4,6 10,14 inches.
Mini Teacup Cake
4 inch mini cake with colorflow teacup. This was done before I knew anything about real luster dust...the glitter on the cup is from Wilton (blah!)
2nd pic This is a copy of nunuk's original design. Thank you to her for her wonderful design!!!! See first pic for details
FIRST...I must give full credit to nunuk for the design of this cake. She is an amazing decorator and was very helpful. This is my first stacked tiered cake done for a neighbor's daughter's graduation. (My gift to her!) I had to modify it slightly because I used 6, 8, and 10 inch tiers and there wasn't much room on the "ledges". After I was done, I was like "How the heck did the drapes end up in the back???" LOL! Oh well...the cake looked good from all angles! See next pic for the back.
Birthday cake for a friend. Toba's moist yellow cake with lemon curd/lemon buttercream filling and IMBC.
My Birthday Cake
Yes, I made my own. No, I'm not five...I just thought that 40 candles would ruin the cake! :-) Chocolate fudge cake with praline IMBC. Fondant and Royal Icing accents. It was AWESOME.
