I made this cake for my daughter's 17th birthday. The frosting is buttercream and the flower is gum paste. This is the largest flower I've ever made...it is a little bigger than I planned!
Thanks to CC members for the idea. I had never seen a "Road of Life" cake before. My daughters had fun looking for picutres of their father.
Thanks to CC member Brooke420 for the great idea. The cake was a big hit at the party, especially the "mint chocolate chip" scoop!
My daughter wanted a purple cake for her 11th b-day. I got the idea from a Wilton yearbook. The cake was extra easy becasue I used purple spray on food coloring!
This cake was intended to complement a previous cake. The doll is made from rice krispie treats covered with fondant....it was hard to keep her head round!
I made this cake for my daughter's 10th birthday party. Thanks to CC and an old Wilton book for the idea. This was the first time making fondant people....I learned a lot!
My daughter wanted a green cake for her 10th birthday. I got the idea from a Witlton wedding cake.
I made this cake (with my daughter's help) for her 15th birthday. The cake is special to her becasue her grandmother was Japanese. This was our first time covering such a large irregular shaped cake.
I made this cake for my daughter...she loves tiaras. She even tried this one on! This is my first pillow cake and my first RI tiara. Thanks to everyone at CC for sharing your cakes and instructions for inspiration.
