My take on Bilbo Baggins' 111th bday cake from LotR.... for my good friend :)
Five tiers, the top is a sugar mold teacup. There are a few breaks by the time we took the pic, but it was the most ambitious cake yet :)
my son wanted the Krusty Krab for his Birthday, this is my best attempt.... lol
my first time using my petal dusts :)
Everything is edible, this one was fun :)
my first fondant cake. I really need to get better at taking pictures!! Used used MMF to cover the cake. Couldn't do the wilton stuff. Spent waaay too long on those flowers!! LOL!
This was my course 2 final cake, I didn't like the weird bird so, hence the fairy and the little mushrooms. My poor fairy broke apart on the way home, should have taken pictures in class!!
My first attempt at brush embroidery. Made it orange so it matched the plate, then did the cake and plate and all. This was before I got Colette and Toba's books and realized what brush embroidery is SUPPOSED to look like! LOL!
My friend and I made this baby shower cake for a friend of ours. Covered in MMF, decorations in fondant and gumpaste. Thanks to all the little froggies on CC that we found for inspiration to learn how to sculpt these guys!!
