My daughter's Tim Burton inspired birthday cake. Original design by : La Caketiere, on Flickr. Hers is way better (especially her topper), but I had fun making it. Instead of the Eiffel Tower, I made up a character named Herr Ankhenstadt. My DD loves ankhs, and wanted that incorporated somewhere.
This is my daughter's Wonderland themed cake... she found a pic online a while ago. I do not remember who did the original design, so if it's you, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due. :) I did make an addition... I added a little butt with a feather as a joke to my dear daughter, who doesn't always enunciate.

Mad Hatter's hat is carved from 2- 8" and 2- 10" layers. Covered in fondant, with fondant teacup. Board is covered with black/white fondant squares. Fondant ribbon roses- I "painted the roses red". Made for my daughter's 17th birthday.
My daughter's 18th birthday cake, based on the Sandman character Delirium, by Neil Gaiman. This was my first topsy turvy so it's far from perfect, but I think the next one will be much easier. Also added a few quotes from both Delirium, and Tori Amos. Edible images of delirium and comic book quotes, glass bubbles, fondant fishies.
Bride e-mailed me a photo, so I don't know who to credit for the design. Pink buttercream with brown buttercream vines. Chocolate fondant leaves. Fresh flowers on top.
